With the water cooling down and winter approaching it’s peak, the time is now for sheepshead fishing. Plenty of sheepshead over 20 inches and limits of them some day. Along with the sheepshead bite starting to fire off, I have been catching grey snapper, mangrove snapper, flounder, smaller grouper, black drum, and redfish. Dock fishing has been a solid producer of fish as well as 3-7 miles into the gulf and reefs in Tampa bay if the weather cooperates. This kind of fishing should extend past February into March until the early spring. Tightlines!
